Lots of people here have touched my life and I wish I was better with words to express just how much.
Right now most of our things have a sad touch to them leaving is pretty hard. It is amazing the people who influence you and who you influence. There is a local stationary store just down the street, and I often go there for fancy paper and my Japanese calligraphy stuff I need. The lady was always really helpful and really nice, she knew I couldn't speak Japanese very well, so she used a tiny bit of English at first but as time wore on we spoke more and more Japanese. Because she runs the store, I never had a chance to get to know her really well but when she found out we were leaving she gave me a set of really nice paints (I am learning to do Japanese style painted postcards). To repay her a little (as we just can't afford a present to every single person we know) I drew her a postcard with a little letter on the back, and brought it in to her the other day. Then she decided to give us more gifts! A pencil - notepad set that University students normally purchase - it comes with a few neat things that I would never think to buy for myself, but which are kinda handy when writing and taking notes.
Anyway that is one story for today :)
