I am back in Canada, have been for the last few days. Stayed in Kamloops for one night, and came down to Vancouver Island with Chuck, Eric's dad. We picked up Eric in Langley and had a early dinner with one of his best friends that he stayed with for one night. Then we made our way to the ferry and Nanaimo. Chuck and Zdenka have a beautiful cabin on Protection Island that Eric and I are staying at with them for a week.
On Friday, our first day here, Eric went with Chuck to Nanaimo to do grocery shopping and were stuck over there 'til the afternoon because the tide was low. On Protection Island we have to plan our day around the tide if we need to get groceries or anything of that sort. While Eric was out with Chuck, Zdenka showed me the island and we gardened together. Chuck made a delicious dinner with salmon steaks and potatoes.
On Saturday we went back over to the main land (Vancouver) and went to a party that Chuck and zdenka were invited to with some of Chuck's old friends. It was a little nervous at the beginning, not knowing anyone. It all worked out good though, played with the kids for a bit, talked to some of the adults with Eric and mingled.
On Sunday we picked up Robin and Jon from the bus depot and went back to the island. It was squished in the back of the truck with 4 of us squeezed in there, but fun! Once we got home, it was a little late, but Chuck made lamb chops, cous cous, and Eric helped with a ceasar salad! It was delicious again!!! Chuck is a very good cook!

It is Monday morning now, and everyone is waking up and Chuck and Eric are starting breakfast.
