Okay.... So it has been two years since I have used my blog.... I didn't realize that some of my Japanese friends still look on here to see stuff as I mostly used it for my adventures when I was in Japan. After the recent tragedies in Japan I thought I should keep updating this to let my friends know I am thinking about them all the time.
Since I have gotten back to Canada, Eric and I stayed with his dad out in Okotoks were I served full time to help support us. We just had the room at Dad's place so it was pretty small and cramped but it was nice to save some money and live with family again. After a few months we found a basement suite in Calgary close to the university for Eric. I had a hard time finding work, but eventually was hired at river cafe a beautiful restaurant in Prince's Island Park, and have been there since! I love it and can't imagine leaving yet!

In October 2009 Eric and I went to Portland to visit Alisa, a good friend of ours! We had a great trip! We drove down which was a long drive but a lot of fun. We spent around 2weeks in Portland around Halloween. Alisa made my costume that year. See the pictures here ! Once we got home we worked hard over Christmas.

In May 2010 Eric and I had our wedding!!! I can't believe still sometimes that I am married! See pictures here! I spent about a week in Nanaimo before our wedding just hanging out and relaxing but still organizing a few things. We got married on New Castle Island in Nanaimo on a grassy bay over looking the ocean. We did San-san-kudo which is a Japanese wedding tradition! At our Japanese wedding our friends through for us they taught us how to do it and we thought it would be really special for us to use it as part of our Canadian wedding! It was family and close friends only so it was fairly small! But some of our close friends from Japan and America were able to come out!!! It was amazing! We did not take a honey moon as we did not have enough money but we are trying to plan a trip somewhere! We just can't decide where!
Married life has been the same, as we lived together before but it is nice to say 'husband' now when referring to Eric!

We live fairly close to the Rocky Mountains but don't really take the time to go hike and whatnot! So a few weeks ago for a weekend away we went to Banff! It was soooooo cold! We couldn't really be outside much so we had lunch at a great little sandwich shop! then bought ourselves a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our weekend away. We had reserved a beautiful room at a hotel and made reservations for a fancy dinner. The dinner was late but we had a great time! The next day we bundled up again and walked around Banff a bit more. Went for breakfast and then later to warm up again had tea at a little tea shop. It was too cold to do much so we decided to go home and take the rest of the day relaxing.

For the last week now Eric and I have been really worried about everyone in Japan. We are slowly hearing from people we care about and knowing some of our friends are safe is really nice. I am sure some people are not telling me about their friends that are still missing as to keep me from worrying as there is nothing I can do right now anyway.... but I am still worried about a lot of people and am always thinking of them! And everyone that has lost everything.
